The Return of the Cruisers

It was a great Independence Day in Huatulco and we were appreciative to have spent the evening with our Mexican, American, and Canadian friends celebrating.

This past weekend also marked the return of the cruise ships, which can only mean one thing, a change of seasons is upon us!  And while we are not expecting any frost, or the leaves to turn a golden yellow, or fiery red, we know this marks the return of the foreign tourist season down here. 

For many locals a return of the cruise ships is a welcome site, as this sector of tourism injects a few extra pesos into the economy.  And to be honest for us, it adds a missing layer to the Bay of Santa Cruz that our condo looks onto.  It's kind of nice to see!
